Book Drive for Haiti
Every year, hundreds of books are thrown away as soon as finals exams are over. This year, Class Board partnered with Minerva's Initiatives (a non-profit started by a Penn student) to put together a book drive for these unwanted textbooks. We collected over 500 books in the bins placed at the entrance to each of the college houses, and raised over $3,000 for the Haitian earthquake relief.Apr

Spring Fling Giveaway
What would Spring Fling be without those super stylish, super cool sunglasses? Not the same, that's for sure. On April 15th, days before Spring Fling, the Board gave out blue customized "2013" sunglasses to the class. The event also marked the unveiling of the new bouncers in town, our lovely CB Boarders Beryl Sanders, Spencer Barrington, and Laura Bilder. And with the lines that day, they had their work cut out for them.Mar

Campusfood Free 4 All
Even in the standstill of winter, Class Board 2013 decided to throw an event never done before. For Campusfood Free4All, the Board teamed up with Campusfood.com and held a wildly successful giveaway. With lines going out the door at Hall of Flags before the 7PM start time, the March 4th night of "freebies" rivaled the Penn Fest held during NSO. Campusfood vendors including Ed's Pizza and Wings and D.P. Dough catered the event. 2013's very own DJ Letta spun her own mixes throughout the night. The much anticipated 2013 drawstring bags were also given out, each containing either a Campusfood or Chipotle gift card. On top of all that, the Penn Club of New York sponsored a giveaway of gold-plated (yes, real gold) Penn bookmarks. Did we mention the raffle of additional Campusfood, Chipotle, and Jimmy John's gift cards?Jan

NSOver Again
2013 is doing things that have never been done before. Seeing as how New Student Orientation (NSO) is one of the best weeks of college, Class Board 2013 intiated another week of events strictly for Freshmen. We call it NSOver Again. CB 13 rented out the ice rink, The Bridge movie theater, and capped off the week with the Freshman Formal. Also during this week, NSOver Again discounts were offered at Copabanana, New Deck Tavern, Saturn Salon, Philadelphia Runner, and 7 other campus stores.Jan

Freshman Formal
The annual freshman formal was done bigger and better than it has ever been done before on the night of Saturday, January 23. The Board spent over five months planning the Formal that turned out to be tremendous success. Based on numbers alone, over 700 students attended "The Freshman Prince of Bel Air." Hall of Flags has never been this crowded. Slow Dance Chubby, an all freshmen band, opened the party, and then DJ Holden Cross spun beats for night. President Jonathon Youshaei crowned Riley McCluskey as Freshman Prince and Ari Cohen as Freshman Princess, both winning round-trips to New York City courtesy of the Penn Club of New York. No doubt it was a night to remember.Jan

$5 Movie Night
The Bridge is clearly overpriced. But for one night, Class Board 2013 rented out the theaters of this local cinema and gave out tickets for $5 only to those with a 2013 PennCard. Over 350 Freshman showed up to the event with Denzel Washington's The Book of Eli selling out the fastest.Jan

Boogie on Blades
On Friday January 22, 2913, Class Board 2013 rented out the Class of 1923 Ice Rink for 2 hours of free ice skating, great music, and a great time. Oh, and did we mention free Jimmy John's? There were so many sandwiches on hand that students ended up taking platters home to their halls.Dec

Homecoming
QuakerFest 2009 was crazy! Freshmen had the best turnout of any class after getting news that free "Penn 2013" scarves would be given out on CollegeGreen in the morning of our Homecoming football game versus Princeton. 500 scarves were handed out in a span of less than 15 minutes. Wow.Oct
