2013 Supports Fallen Heroes
Once again, Class Board partnered with the Minerva Initiatives on yet another book drive, this time to support the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. The Fund supports families of military personnel killed or severely wounded in action. This semester, Class Board made the book drive even simpler. We had our usual collective boxes around campus, but we even picked them at students’ doors and collaborated with the Penn Book Center to donate proceeds.Apr

Spring Fling Water Bottle Giveaway
Hoping to hydrate before hardcore Fling activities commenced, 1,000 students lined up outside Harrison House to receive their exclusive blue “2013” water bottles. The line for the water bottles stretched all the way to the Dueling Tampons, and students can still be seen drinking from the bottles at Pottruck and in class.Feb

Meet Starr
Throughout the week, 160 students enjoyed food inspired by the visionary Stephen Starr. On Friday night, another 200 were selected to attend a meet-and-greet with Mr. Starr himself. Starr shared his own experiences and then took questions from President Youshaei and audience members about entrepreneurship and fine dining. Following the inspiring Q&A in Bodek Lounge, attendees enjoyed a delightful assortment of dessert tapas.Feb

Sophomore Stephen Starr Week
Class Board has always cared about bringing the class together and facilitating new friendships. This week, over 160 lucky lottery winners were treated to FREE three-course meals at eight of acclaimed restaurateur Stephen Starr’s local restaurants. Sophomores reconnected with old friends and made new ones at the intimate 20-person meals. Students enjoyed delicious dinners at: Continental Mid-Town, Jones, El Rey, Pizzeria Stella, Buddakan, Morimoto, The Continental, and Alma de Cuba.Dec

Book Drive for Kenya
Class Boards 2013 and 2014 teamed up with the Minerva Initiatives on a book drive. The boards raised enough money to construct a Class Boards maternity ward in a Kenyan hospital!Nov

Harry Potter at Penn
Hogwarts has four schools. Penn has four schools. Penn students wish they went to Hogwarts. So what better way to celebrate the release of Part 1 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows than with a home school-themed tee shirt sale? College (Gryffindor), Wharton (Slytherin-who else?), Nursing (Hufflepuff), and Engineering (Ravenclaw) students attended the sold-out midnight showings decked out in their Harry Potter tees, purchased tees as holiday presents, and continue wearing the shirts around campus.Oct

Homecoming 2010: Penn v. Brown
Class Board distributed free homecoming all-access passes to 2013ers, providing access to Saturday’s Quakerfest tailgate that featured free food, a beer garden, and live music. After watching the Quakers defeat Brown, students attended an exclusive pre-screening of the Adam Sandler film Just Go With It, which was followed by a Q&A with Penn Alumnus Doug Belgrad, C’87, President of Columbia Pictures of Sony Pictures Entertainment. Another 300 students obtained the latest Penn Traditions scarves, which they wore with pride throughout the weekend.Sep
